The James Stewart Freestone Spring Championship MX series has kicked off!
The Freestone County Raceway is located in Wortham, Texas and is a premium motocross track built to host the Pro Motocross Nationals but boasts both an Amateur and National track. The Spring Championship series is a five-day event in which racers from around the world compete for a variety of championships in different classes ranging from 51cc, 85cc, 250s, and 450s – even Girl’s and Women’s classes. The first Moto of the series will begin tomorrow, March 21st and will continue on through Saturday March 24th.
The Freestone Spring Championship has come to be known as a major stop on many professional racers’ calendars. Previous 250 champions and podium finishers include Sean Cantrell, Austin Forkner, Chase Sexton, and Mitchell Harrison – all of which are currently racing in the Monster Energy Supercross series. Other notable participants who have moved on to Monster Energy Supercross include Bradley Taft, Lorenzo Locurcio, Henry Miller, Cameron McAdoo, and Brandon Hartranft.
